Ashwin’s impressive performance helped him surpass Bumrah to reclaim the top spot in the Test bowlers’ rankings. This marks the sixth time Ashwin has secured the top spot, with his first stint dating back to December 2015.
Meanwhile, Ashwin’s teammate, Kuldeep Yadav, jumped 15 places to 16th overall on the latest Test rankings for bowlers following his seven-wicket haul and Player of the Match performance against England. Kiwi Matt Henry also moved up six spots to 12th, surpassing the 700-point mark for the first time.

Indian batters Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Yashasvi Jaiswal also had a successful run in the Dharamsala Test, earning them significant points in the rankings.
