Babar Azam Achieves New Milestone in Pakistan’s Win Over Ireland
Ireland vs Pakistan, Match Summary
In an impressive display of cricket, Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, ascended to the top of a prestigious list on Sunday. This followed Pakistan’s seven-wicket victory over Ireland in the second T20I in Dublin.
Under Babar’s leadership, Pakistan successfully chased Ireland’s respectable total of 193/7 with over three overs to spare. This was largely due to a 140-run partnership between Mohammad Rizwan (75*) and Fakhar Zaman (78). This victory marked a record-breaking 45th T20I win for Babar as Pakistan’s captain.

Despite Babar’s early dismissal in the second over, Rizwan and Fakhar’s partnership steadied Pakistan’s innings and led them to a series-levelling victory.
Fakhar showcased his power-hitting skills with six sixes, while Rizwan played a steady supporting role. Their 140-run partnership quickly turned the game in Pakistan’s favor.
Fakhar Zaman hit a 95-metre six against Bangladesh in Kolkata.
Although Fakhar was dismissed in the 15th over, giving the hosts a glimmer of hope, Azam Khan stepped up to score an unbeaten 30 off just 10 balls, guiding Pakistan to victory.
The third and final match of the series will take place in Dublin on Tuesday.
