Bangladesh Announces Squad for ICC Women’s Championship Series Against Australia
Nigar Sultana Joty has been named as the captain of the Bangladesh women’s team for the upcoming ODI series against Australia, with Nahida Akter serving as her vice-captain. The Australian team is set to arrive in Bangladesh on 17th March, with a schedule that includes a three-match ODI series and three T20Is.
The 15-member squad will be supported by reserves Fariha Islam Trisna, Shorifa Khatun, and Lata Mondol. All matches are scheduled to take place at the SBNCS in Mirpur.
Historically, Bangladesh has yet to secure a victory over Australia in either a women’s ODI or T20I match.
In the current Women’s Championship Standings, Australia holds the lead, with Bangladesh ranking seventh.
