NEW DELHI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the fixtures for Team India’s international home season scheduled for 2025, promising fans a thrilling array of cricketing encounters against the West Indies and South Africa. The season will feature a blend of Test matches, One-Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), setting the stage for some intense cricketing action.
The home season will kick off against the West Indies with a two-Test series starting on October 2, 2025, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This series is pivotal for India’s aspirations in the ongoing World Test Championship, as they look to assert dominance over the Caribbean team on home turf. The second Test will follow from October 10-14 at the illustrious Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Following the showdown with West Indies, South Africa’s tour of India will commence, which marks a historic event as Guwahati’s ACA Stadium is set to host its first-ever Test match. The Proteas will play their first Test against India on November 14 in New Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium, with the action moving to Guwahati for the second Test from November 22-26.
After the Test series, the two teams will engage in a three-match ODI series, starting in Ranchi on November 30, followed by matches in Raipur on December 2, and Visakhapatnam on December 5. The cricketing spectacle will culminate with a five-match T20I series, kicking off in Chennai on December 10, and concluding with a grand finale in Ahmedabad on December 19.
