ICC Extends Global Partnership with Aramco
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a four-year extension of its global partnership with Aramco, a leading integrated energy and chemicals company.
After a successful initial 18-month term, Aramco will remain a Premier Partner of the ICC. The extended partnership will cover all men’s and women’s senior and U19s events until the end of 2027. This includes the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in West Indies and USA, and the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in Bangladesh later this year.
The partnership aims to engage cricket’s one billion-strong younger audience, aligning with Aramco’s mission to provide affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy worldwide.
So far, the partnership has introduced the Aramco Player of the Match, the Aramco Player of the Tournament, and the Aramco Power Performances assets, all of which will continue over the next four years. Aramco will also leverage the ICC’s Hospitality platform to drive its business objectives.
Statements from ICC and Aramco
ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice expressed his delight at the extension, stating, “We are delighted to be extending our relationship with Aramco for another four years, as a Premier Partner on our major men’s and women’s events through to the end of 2027. The ICC has enjoyed a strong working relationship with Aramco since the partnership began in 2022 and we look forward to that continuing over the next few years.”
Aramco Vice President Public Affairs Khalid A. Al-Zamil also expressed his satisfaction, saying, “I am thrilled with the extension of our partnership with the International Cricket Council for another four years. Cricket transcends boundaries, uniting millions around the globe, similar to Aramco’s commitment to fostering collaboration and excellence. We aim to continue supporting the growth of cricket through our key assets and bringing people together through the spirit of sport.”
