ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024: Warm-Up Matches Schedule Unveiled
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the official schedule for the warm-up matches of the Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. The matches are set to take place from Monday, 27th May to Saturday, 1st June across various venues in the USA and Trinidad and Tobago.
The 16 warm-up matches will be hosted at the Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Texas, Broward County Stadium in Florida, and the Queen’s Park Oval and Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago.
The warm-up matches will be played in the T20 format, with each team playing 20 overs. However, these matches will not carry international T20 status, allowing teams to field all 15 players from their squad. In a departure from previous tournaments, teams now have the option to play up to two warm-up matches, depending on their arrival time at the event.
The match between West Indies and Australia at Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad and Tobago on Thursday, 30th May will be open to the public. Tickets can be purchased online at tickets.t20worldcup.com or at the box offices located at the National Cricket Centre and Queen’s Park Oval from 16th May.
