Following a triumphant campaign at the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, Indian men’s cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir is currently relishing a well-earned holiday in France, accompanied by his wife Natasha and their two daughters, Aazeen and Anaiza.

Gambhir, who guided India to a prestigious win against New Zealand in the final on 9 March at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, led his team to secure the title for the third time, adding to their previous victories in 2002 and 2013.

Despite facing criticism earlier in the season following losses against New Zealand at home and Australia away during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Gambhir’s leadership shone as he masterfully steered India to their first 50-over ICC success since 2013.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) acknowledged the team’s stellar performance by announcing a generous prize of Rs 58 crore. During the tournament, India dominated Group A, defeating Bangladesh, Pakistan, and New Zealand, before overcoming Australia in the semifinals and eventually claiming the trophy against New Zealand in the final.

While the Indian cricketers are currently engaged in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with their respective franchises, Gambhir is enjoying a break from the cricketing scene. Having previously led Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to their third IPL title, Gambhir transitioned to the role of head coach for the Indian team, succeeding Rahul Dravid post the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Looking ahead, Gambhir and the Indian team are set to embark on a challenging five-Test tour of England starting 20 June. This will be followed by series against Bangladesh (away), West Indies (home), and South Africa (home).
