India’s Multi-Format Series Against South Africa: Fixtures Announced
The Indian women’s cricket team, after hosting England and Australia at the Wankhede last year, is set to play a Test match against South Africa in a home series this June. Notably, Chennai will host a women’s Test match for the first time since 1976, when India played against West Indies.
The last time South Africa played a Test match in India was a decade ago, a game that ended in an innings victory for India.

The home series will kick off with ODIs in Bengaluru, scheduled for June 16th, 19th, and 23rd, as part of the 2022–2025 ICC Women’s Championship. Following the ODIs, Chennai will host the four-day Test from June 28th to July 1st. The series will conclude with a three-match T20I series.
