IPL 2025: SRH Eye Historic 300-Run Mark Against LSG in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have kicked off the IPL 2025 season with a bang, setting the stage for a potential historic milestone against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. After a commanding 44-run victory over the Rajasthan Royals, SRH are poised to continue their aggressive approach, eyeing the elusive 300-run mark in T20 cricket.

SRH’s explosive batting lineup, which posted a staggering 286/6 against the Royals, has sent a clear message to their rivals. The team’s strategy of relentless attack and high intensity is expected to remain unchanged as they face LSG, who are grappling with injuries to key bowlers.

The first five matches of the season saw a total of 119 sixes, with SRH contributing significantly with 30 sixes in their match against RR. The absence of LSG’s frontline bowlers, including Avesh Khan, Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan, and Akash Deep, could further tilt the scales in SRH’s favor. Although Avesh Khan has been cleared to return, his effectiveness after a long layoff remains a concern, especially against SRH’s in-form top order featuring Ishan Kishan, Travis Head, and Abhishek Sharma.

Nitish Kumar Reddy, returning from an injury, showcased his readiness with a brisk 30 off 15 balls, adding depth to SRH’s batting. Heinrich Klaasen’s presence further strengthens their lineup, posing a significant challenge to the LSG bowling attack.

LSG’s bowling strategy will be under scrutiny, particularly after Shardul Thakur’s underutilization in their previous match and the surprising performance of spinners Manimaran Siddharth and Digvesh Rathi, who overshadowed Ravi Bishnoi. As SRH aim to etch their name in the IPL record books, all eyes will be on Hyderabad for what promises to be a thrilling encounter.
