Nepal’s All-Rounder Soars in Rankings
Nepal’s cricket sensation, Dipendra Singh Airee, has made significant strides in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings, thanks to his remarkable six-hitting spree.
Airee has joined the elite club of India’s Yuvraj Singh and West Indies’ Kieron Pollard as the third player to hit six sixes in an over. This feat was achieved during an ACC Men’s T20I Premier Cup match against Qatar in Al Amerat, where he scored an unbeaten 64*, including 36 runs from Kamran Khan’s final over.

This extraordinary performance not only led Nepal to a comfortable 32-run victory over Qatar but also propelled Airee up the T20I batter and all-rounder rankings, updated by the ICC on Wednesday.
Airee climbed a whopping 16 places to tie at 61st in the T20I batter rankings, while his all-rounder ranking rose 14 spots to 11th.

However, Airee wasn’t the only Nepalese player to make progress in the latest rankings. His teammate, Aasif Sheikh, moved up 36 places to 75th in the T20I batter rankings, following consistent performances at the same tournament.
The 22-year-old opener scored 32, 52, and 40 in consecutive matches against Malaysia, Qatar, and Hong Kong, respectively, reaching a new career-high rating.
