Pat Cummins Envisions ‘Ideal’ Australian Vacation for Virat Kohli

Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins, currently stationed in India for the Indian Premier League (IPL), has shared a heartfelt vision for an ideal Australian vacation tailor-made for Indian cricket legend Virat Kohl. Cummins, who affectionately refers to India as his “second home,” said, “I’ve been lucky to spend lots of time there [India] over the last 15 years playing for Australia and in the Indian Premier League, most recently as captain of the Sunrisers Hyderabad.”

Cummins described India’s allure, stating, “India has such a rich culture from the vibrant markets to historic temples, and of course, the amazing food. The energy in places like Mumbai and Delhi is infectious.”

Newly appointed as an advocate for the Australian Tourism Board, Cummins is eager to promote his homeland. “I’m proud to be part of Tourism Australia’s Friends of Australia program and their latest campaign, Howzat for a Holiday, which aims to showcase Australia to India,” he expressed.

Elaborating on what an ideal Australian vacation for Virat Kohli would entail, Cummins proposed, “This itinerary would offer a blend of cricket, adventure, culture, and relaxation, with experiences in some of Australia’s most iconic locations.” Potential highlights could include a visit to the Sydney Cricket Ground for a cricket experience, an adventurous trek in the Blue Mountains, a cultural exploration at the Uluru, and some relaxation time on the beaches of Gold Coast.

Addressing the challenges of constant public scrutiny, Cummins reflected on his approach to media attention, “The media, especially in a cricket-loving nation like Australia, can be unforgiving. I don’t let negativity distract me and appreciate the importance of keeping things in perspective, good or bad.”
