Ravichandran Ashwin Marks a Significant Milestone in Dharamsala
Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has entered the prestigious club of players with 100 Test match appearances for India.
The accomplished off-spinner, who first stepped into the Test cricket arena in 2011, recently achieved the remarkable feat of 500 Test wickets during a match in Rajkot, making him only the second Indian to reach this milestone.
“The desire to excel hasn’t changed, wanting to keep on evolving as a cricketer, that’s something that’s been organic to me right from my club cricket days in Chennai,” Ashwin reflected during the Rajkot Test after accomplishing the milestone.

Furthermore, Ashwin joined Muttiah Muralidaran as the only second bowler to achieve 500 wickets in less than 100 Test matches.
Since his Test debut in November 2011, only Nathan Lyon has claimed more wickets than Ashwin in this format, solidifying his position as one of the most successful modern-day Test bowlers.
