The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) kicked off their IPL 2025 campaign with a resounding victory against the defending champions, Kolkata Knight Riders. The win set the stage for some light-hearted moments in the dressing room, where the team’s camaraderie was on full display.
Among the amusing antics, young RCB player Swastik Chikara, who joined the team at his base price of Rs 30 lakh, added a touch of humor to the celebrations. In a video that has since gone viral, Chikara was caught using Virat Kohli’s perfume without asking, much to the surprise and amusement of his teammates.
The incident unfolded as the team was relaxing after their match in Kolkata. Chikara nonchalantly reached into Kohli’s bag, pulled out a perfume bottle, and sprayed it on himself. Yash Dayal, who witnessed the act, recounted the moment with a laugh, saying, “We were sitting in the dressing room after our last game in Kolkata. He went and from Virat Kohli’s bag, took out a perfume bottle and used it without even asking. Everyone started laughing. He didn’t even do anything; he was sitting like this [gesturing].”
RCB skipper Rajat Patidar, also present in the dressing room, expressed his astonishment, stating, “Virat bhai was right there. I was wondering what this guy is doing.”
Chikara, defending his actions with a cheeky grin, explained, “He’s our elder brother, isn’t he? So I was checking to ensure he doesn’t use a bad one. So I tried it. He asked me how it was. I said it’s nice. I was only checking to let you know.”
The jovial atmosphere in the RCB camp is a testament to their strong team spirit as they prepare for their next challenge against Chennai Super Kings on Friday.
