Social media sensation RJ Mahvash was spotted cheering at the New PCA Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur during the IPL clash between Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings on Tuesday night. Amidst ongoing speculations about her relationship with Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, Mahvash’s presence at the match fuelled more talks on social platforms.
Mahvash took to her Instagram story to share her enthusiasm, posting a video from the stadium with the caption, “Go Punjab! Whether you win or lose, you’re still stars. Let’s go team!” Her ongoing support for the Punjab team has been well-documented, though this is not her first appearance at a cricketing event.
Earlier in the year, on March 10, Mahvash had grabbed the netizens’ attention after being seen with Chahal during the Champions Trophy Final. She celebrated India’s victory by sharing a video on her social media, capturing the jubilation and fireworks that followed the team’s success.
The duo’s public interactions didn’t stop there; they were also spotted together in an Instagram video posted by Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi. In the video, Oberoi casually asked Chahal about the likely outcome of the game, to which the cricketer expressed his staunch support for the Indian team.
Adding to the narrative of their interaction, Chahal follows Mahvash on Instagram, and she had previously interviewed him back in 2022. Their on-and-off public engagements have sparked a flurry of dating rumors.
However, Mahvash has been vocal about addressing these rumors. In a strongly worded statement, she clarified the situation, stating, “Some articles and speculations have been circulating around the internet. It’s literally funny to see how baseless these rumors are. If you get seen with a person of the opposite gender, does that mean you are dating them? I’m sorry, what year is this? And how many people are you all dating then?”
She expressed further frustration towards what she perceives as orchestrated attempts by PR teams to manipulate narratives, adding, “I have been patient for 2-3 days now, but I won’t let any PR teams drag my name into this to cover up other people’s images. Let people live in peace with their friends and family during tough times.”
