South Africa Announces Exciting Summer of Cricket for the 2024-25 Season
The Protea Women are set to inaugurate the home summer with a multi-format series against England, commencing on 24 November. The tour will comprise three T20Is, an equal number of ODIs, and a solitary Test in December.
The T20I matches will be hosted at three different venues: East London, Benoni, and Centurion. The ODIs are slated to be played in Kimberley, Durban, and Potchefstroom.

The one-off Test is scheduled to be held at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein from 15 to 18 December. This will be the first Test on home soil for South Africa Women since 2002. Their last home Test was against India in Paarl in March 2002.
The Protea Men will kickstart their cricket summer by hosting Sri Lanka for a two-match Test series, starting 27 November. The first Test will be played in Durban, followed by the second in Gqeberha.
A dramatic penultimate over in the Pakistan v South Africa clash.
Immediately after the Test matches conclude, the focus will shift to white-ball cricket as South Africa square off against Pakistan in a three-match T20I series. An equal number of ODIs will follow this in Paarl, Cape Town, and Johannesburg.
The series will culminate with the Boxing Day Test in Centurion, wrapping up the home summer with the New Year’s Test at Newlands.
CSA CEO, Pholetsi Moseki, expressed his excitement over the upcoming summer of cricket: “As we eagerly anticipate the 2024/25 home international season, it once again holds the promise of exhilarating encounters.
“As we welcome esteemed cricketing nations like Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and England, we not only showcase the talent and competitiveness of South African cricket but also celebrate the global appeal and camaraderie inherent in our beloved sport.
“These fixtures serve as a platform to not just compete, but to foster bonds between nations, uniting players and fans alike in the shared love for cricket,” he concluded.
