Match 15: South Africa Opts for Fielding First Against Netherlands

South Africa’s captain, Temba Bavuma, has decided to bowl first after winning the toss. He is banking on the overcast conditions to give his bowlers an early advantage. Gerald Coetzee has been selected to replace Tabraiz Shamsi.

On the Dutch side, Logan van Beek, who is now fully fit, has been included in the playing XI, taking the place of Ryan Klein.

Despite South Africa’s flawless record against the Netherlands in One Day Internationals (ODIs), the Proteas are well aware that the Dutch team is not to be underestimated.

In a surprising turn of events, the Netherlands defeated South Africa by 13 runs in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia last year, effectively ending the Proteas’ run in the tournament.
