South African Duo Ascend in Latest Player Rankings
In the ongoing ODI series against Sri Lanka, South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt delivered a Player of the Match performance, scoring a remarkable century in the second game. Her elegant 110* led the team to a triumphant victory.

This marks Wolvaardt’s sixth century for South Africa in 50-over cricket, propelling her to fifth place, just behind top-ranked batter Nat Sciver-Brunt in the updated rankings.
Women’s ODI Batter Rankings
Her teammate, Tazmin Brits, also shone in the series opener, scoring her own century and subsequently rising seven places to 38th on the ODI batters list. Sri Lanka’s Kavisha Dilhari and Nilakshi de Silva also advanced, moving up to 48th and 49th respectively after their performances in the second match against South Africa.
Despite not taking a wicket in the first two matches, South Africa’s Marizanne Kapp moved up to third in the ODI bowlers’ rankings due to her exceptional economy rate. Ayabonga Khaka, another South African player, also climbed a spot to seventh after taking three wickets in the second match.
Women’s ODI Bowler Rankings
Sri Lanka’s Inoka Ranaweera, Oshadi Ranasinghe, and Dilhari also made progress in the ODI bowlers’ rankings, moving to 17th, 34th, and 57th respectively. Veteran skipper Chamari Athapaththu moved up to 11th in the all-rounders’ rankings.
Women’s ODI All-Rounder Rankings
Meanwhile, in Scotland’s ongoing tri-series against Papua New Guinea and the USA, the Bryce sisters have been making waves. Kathryn Bryce, the Scottish skipper, scored a brilliant 73 against PNG in Dubai, moving up 16 places to 46th in the ODI batters’ rankings. Her younger sister, Sarah, hit 84 against the USA, catapulting her from outside the top 100 to 65th on the same list.
