Sri Lanka Announces T20I Squad for Afghanistan Series
In the upcoming three T20Is against Afghanistan, Sri Lanka will be missing the services of injured seamer Dushmantha Chameera. Binura Fernando has been named as his replacement.
Chameera had to leave the field midway through the first ODI against Afghanistan due to a quadriceps injury, which is unrelated to his previous injuries. This injury also led to his absence from the second ODI of the series and will now keep him out of the T20Is.
The squad remains unchanged from the series against Zimbabwe last month. Angelo Mathews, who made a triumphant return to the T20I squad after a three-year hiatus and won the Player of the Series against Zimbabwe, continues to be an integral part of the team.

Pathum Nissanka, who recently scored the highest ODI score for Sri Lanka, will be part of the batting lineup along with Kusal Mendis, Asalanka, Mathews, and Sadeera Samarawickrama.
The series will kick off on 17 February in Dambulla, with the following matches scheduled at the same venue on 19 and 21 February.
