Ugly Scenes at Barsapara Stadium: Fans Clash During RR vs KKR IPL 2025 Match

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has been a spectacle of packed stadiums and fervent support, but the atmosphere took an unsavoury turn during Rajasthan Royals’ clash against Kolkata Knight Riders at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. A video circulating widely on social media captured a disturbing scene where fans engaged in a violent altercation. The footage showcased a group of supporters in a physical fight, though it remains ambiguous whether this was a conflict between fans of the Royals and the Knights or solely among the Royals’ supporters. Security staff quickly stepped in to calm the situation, emphasizing the need for vigilance and decorum at sports events.

The incident unfolded during Rajasthan Royals’ batting innings as they lost several early wickets. On-field drama was further amplified when a fan breached security protocols to reach the pitch, approaching local hero Riyan Parag and touching his feet before security personnel escorted him away. This breach added an unexpected layer of chaos to an already tense match day.

Despite the tumultuous home support, the Rajasthan Royals faced a crushing defeat. Kolkata Knight Riders clinched their first victory of the season, led by a spectacular unbeaten knock of 97 runs by South African star Quinton de Kock. The Royals managed to score 151/9, thanks to the efforts of spinners Moeen Ali and Varun Chakravarthy, but it wasn’t enough to dampen the Knights’ charge, as they sealed an eight-wicket victory.
