Unprecedented Number of Fan Parks to Broadcast ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, Connecting Cricket Fans Globally
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled plans to broadcast the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 across an unprecedented number of fan parks. With nine live sites spread across five different countries, this initiative is set to bring the grand spectacle of cricket to more communities than ever before in the history of the ICC World Cup.
A total of 22 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 matches will be broadcasted in locations as diverse as New York City, New Delhi, and Rawalpindi. This marks the highest number of fan parks for an ICC World Cup to date. These parks will offer live entertainment, including DJ performances, food and drink stalls, cricket ambassadors, and family activities, promising an unforgettable experience for cricket fans worldwide.
The Oculus World Trade Center in New York City is one of the notable venues, set to broadcast 18 matches across 10 different dates, including the much-awaited Final on 29 June.
Cricket enthusiasts in New York will also have the opportunity to watch the World Cup opener between USA and Canada on 1 June, as well as the high-stakes matches between Australia and England on 8 June, and India and Pakistan on 9 June. Ten different fan parks, including Cedar Creek Park in Seaford, New York, the Indira Gandhi Indoor Arena in New Delhi, India, and Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Pakistan, will broadcast the Group A game between India and Pakistan.
Additional fan parks will be hosted at Epic Central in Grand Prairie, Texas, and Broward County Stadium in Florida, providing more opportunities for fans in the USA to partake in the excitement.
Internationally, the DP World Wanderers Stadium in South Africa will broadcast the Proteas’ first match against Sri Lanka on June 3 and the much-anticipated India v Pakistan game. Birmingham’s Edgbaston Cricket Stadium will also broadcast the June 9 fixture.
The ICC’s Broadcast Partners in each region will support all ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 fan parks by providing live feeds.
