The 23-year-old cricket sensation, Ravindra, showcased his prowess with an unbeaten 123 against England in the inaugural match of the tournament. He continued his stellar performance by scoring another century, a commendable 116, against Australia later in the month.
Contributing to New Zealand’s Success
Ravindra’s exceptional batting skills resulted in a total of 406 runs, with an impressive average of 81.20, in New Zealand’s first six World Cup games. His contribution has significantly propelled the Kiwis towards a potential semi-final spot in the tournament.

He emphasized the importance of team support in allowing him to play freely and naturally. “Being backed by the team helps a lot, being able to go out there with a lot of freedom, and play your natural game,” said Ravindra.
He also acknowledged the favorable pitch conditions, which suited his aggressive playing style. “The lucky thing is the wickets have been really nice to bat on, suits my game in terms of being positive and taking the game on,” Ravindra added.
