WATCH: Mohammed Siraj’s Dream Delivery Dismisses Rohit Sharma for the First Time in IPL

In a thrilling encounter at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat Titans’ (GT) pacer Mohammed Siraj achieved a remarkable feat by dismissing Mumbai Indians’ (MI) opener Rohit Sharma for the first time in the Indian Premier League (IPL) history. The incident occurred during their IPL 2025 match on Saturday.

Opting to bat first after winning the toss, GT posted a competitive total of 196/8, thanks to a solid 78-run opening partnership between Sai Sudharsan, who scored a brisk 63, and captain Shubman Gill, who contributed 38. Jos Buttler also played a crucial role with a quickfire 29 off 24 balls.

Siraj, opening the bowling for GT, faced an aggressive Rohit Sharma right from the start. After a dot ball, Rohit smashed two consecutive boundaries – one to wide mid-on and another towards fine leg. However, Siraj had the last laugh with a sensational delivery that proved to be Rohit’s undoing.

Bowling a length ball around off-stump, the delivery skidded off the surface, nipped back in slightly, and breached Rohit’s defense, crashing into the top of the off-stump bail. Rohit was dismissed for just 8 runs off 4 balls, leaving the MI camp stunned.

This dismissal marked the first time Siraj had managed to get the better of Rohit in the IPL, having faced him 10 times in previous editions without success. The video of this stunning delivery has been making rounds on social media, showcasing Siraj’s skill and the dramatic moment in the match.
