West Indies Star Earns More Accolades in Latest Rankings Update
Matthews, the star all-rounder, has been showcasing her career-best form in both white-ball formats. Her recent performances have propelled her into the top 10 of all individual player ranking categories.
Following her Player of the Series performance in the recent series sweep over Pakistan, the West Indies skipper has risen four spots to seventh, achieving a new career-high rating for ODI batters. The 26-year-old has also improved one spot to sixth for ODI bowlers and maintains her second place for ODI all-rounders.

Matthews has also improved her T20I batter ranking, moving up one place to fourth following her half-century in the second match of the ongoing series against Pakistan. She remains in sixth place for T20I bowlers and continues to lead the pack for T20I all-rounders, highlighting her exceptional form.
Matthews isn’t the only West Indies player making strides in the updated rankings. Experienced all-rounder Stafanie Taylor has moved up two places to 16th for ODI batters, thanks to her scores of 73 and 47 in the final two matches of the series against Pakistan. Meanwhile, teammate Shemaine Campbelle has jumped four places to equal 50th.

West Indies’ Chinelle Henry and Karishma Ramharack have also made significant progress in the ODI bowlers’ rankings, moving up seven spots to 29th and six places to 56th respectively. Pakistan’s Aliya Riaz has also improved, gaining four spots to 34th for ODI batters.

There have been further changes in the T20I rankings following the start of the series between India and Bangladesh and the ongoing ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 Qualifier event in Abu Dhabi.
India’s Harmanpreet Kaur has moved up two places to 17th for T20I batters following her innings of 30 in the opening match against Bangladesh. Her teammate, Richa Ghosh, has climbed five places to equal 25th after her quickfire 23 in the same match.

India’s Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh have also made significant strides in the T20I bowlers’ rankings, moving up one spot to second and four places to equal fourth respectively. Bangladesh’s Rabeya Khan has climbed eight spots to eighth overall, achieving a new career-high rating.

Sri Lanka’s Chamari Athapaththu has gained one place to sixth for T20I all-rounders following her unbeaten half-century against Scotland in the T20 World Cup qualifier event.
