World Cup Finalist Joins USA T20 World Cup 2024 Squad
Corey Anderson, the former New Zealand player and 2015 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup finalist, has been announced as a member of the USA’s squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024.
The USA squad, captained by 31-year-old wicket-keeper batter Monank Patel, includes a mix of familiar faces and recent performers from their victorious T20I series against Canada, which they swept 4-0.
Ali Khan, the team’s tearaway quick, is fit for the tournament after recovering from a hamstring injury that sidelined him from the Canada series. The 33-year-old, who has played in several domestic leagues worldwide, also features in the official T20 World Cup anthem’s film clip.
Other notable names in the squad include Saurabh Netravalkar, the most capped USA player, Aaron Jones, and opener Steven Taylor, the team’s highest run-scorer in international cricket. Off-spinner Milind Kumar, who debuted in the recent series, is also part of the squad.
